Steve Murray is the kind of person and the kind of individual that comes along but once in a lifetime. Even though he is gone, he will never, ever be forgotten. He made too big of an impact on the world and the people that he was close to. That isn’t just erased or forgotten about.
As the old adage goes, people might forget what you said to them, but they will never forget how you made them feel. Stephen Murray made a lot of people feel really good and he lived his life all the way until his death to the absolute fullest. He touched a lot of people with his kindness, his hard-work, and his dedication.
Beyond that, he was a private equity investor and philanthropist. When it comes to investing, that is not exactly an easy job and it isn’t the type of job that a lot of people want to take on or battle. In fact, a lot of people prefer to avoid it all together.
According to XRepublic blog, There is a lot of risk involved, a lot of stress, and a lot goes into it. However, Steve Murray never shied away from the risks involved. He took what is called calculated risks. They were low risk and high reward. That is why he had such longevity in his career.
When it comes to being a philanthropist, that was the job he took perhaps more seriously than any other. It was his responsibility he felt like to give back whenever and however he could.
Here are just a few of the places that he supported during his time on this earth: Make-A-Wish Foundation of Metro New York, Boston College, the Food Bank of Lower Fairfield County, Stamford Museum, and Columbia Business School. That’s a lot of great work being done and a lot of progress.
When it came to Make-A-Wish, that was truly something that was near and dear to his heart, without question. He always wanted to make wishes come true and put a smile on someone’s face. He felt like if he did that, he did his job and then some.
It is the little things in life that matter and Steve Murray always had his priorities in order. He never took his job for granted and he never took giving back for granted. That is why, even though he is gone, one can never take away the impact he made away from him.
