The number of patents owned by Securus Technologies shows the amount of dedication the company has in ensuring that it offers world-class products and services to its customers.

One of the primary reasons why the company has been able to win the trust of the customers is due to its range of products and services without costing a fortune. The company has published a web release recently to display the positive comments it has received from the law enforcement officers. Securus Technologies Gets Itself Involved With High Profile Cases

If there is one thing that Securus Technologies is very helpful with, it is the assistance with public safety. People are in need of some kind of assistance when it comes to keeping safe. However, without surveillance, people will find it a bit harder to stay safe. With Securus Technologies, people are able to not only find the perpetrators of crimes, but they are also able to prevent other crimes from being prevented. Whenever there is cameras and video recorders around, people are less likely to commit crimes against others. As a result, people can breathe more easily when they are out in public.

Securus technologies have taking things even further for law enforcement agencies with the use of a new software called Investigator 4.0. This makes it so that people will be able to catch any type of gang related activity that is being planned. They use voice samples in order to identify the inmate that is involved in the calls. They also trace the other calls that the voice is involved in. Then people pay attention to the contents of the conversations. This helps them determine if there is some kind of incident that is going to happen.

Securus is making it possible to catch people before they commit a crime as opposed to after the crime. For one thing, criminals can be punished with intent. Also, the potential victims would be safe. Securus has released software that is like the audio equivalent of a surveillance camera. The voice samples make it easier for the officer to be able to find out who is calling who about any type of issue. They could also find out information about the other people in the party which includes whether or not they have been incarcerated. They could also find out their affiliation with the current inmate.

Securus Technologies new Application Makes Correctional Facilities more Efficient

I always find it fascinating to find out about how the newest technology impacts various industries. We all know that nearly every industry relies on communications or information technology (usually both) these days. While checking out some of the latest tech news, I found out about how technology works with the correctional facility industry. Prisons and other types of detainment facilities may not be the first thing I thought of when it came to new tech. However, companies like Securus Technologies are bringing some of the latest and greatest technological services to these types of facilities.

Take, for example, inmate requests. I wasn’t aware, but correctional officers and other facility employees often spend hours every day just dealing with the paperwork associated with these types of requests. Inmates traditionally used paper forms to request medical services, to sign up for things and to file grievances. Folks who work at these facilities often spend a good chunk of their time handling papers associated with these requests. Securus Technologies delivers an application to their clients called ConnectUS. Via this application portal, they are able to deliver their Inmate Forms and Grievance application.

The Forms and Grievance application actually takes care of the bulk of the administrative duties associated with inmate requests and grievances. Since less time is required working on paper forms, more time can be spent on crucial job tasks and ensuring the safety and security of the facilities where these people work. Inmates also get a few benefits from this application. They are able to file forms, accept them and even repeal forms/requests without having to submit extraneous amounts of paperwork.

I have to admit to being pretty impressed with this software and Securus Technologies in general. I found that this company serves over 3,450 law enforcement, corrections and public safety organizations. Securus has long been recognized as a leader in their industry, and continues to offer new products and services to their clients. Correctional facilities, like other organizations, rely on the latest technology to run efficiently. It seems that the Securus Technologies’ ConnectUS platform plays a huge role in serving these types of facilities across the country. Read more about Securus on Linkedin.
