Rod J. Rohrich, MD is a renowned plastic surgeon, and also teaches plastic surgery at UT Southwestern Medical Center. Starting in the first quarter of 2018, Dr. Rohrich will be apart of three major conferences on Plastic Surgery education. From February 8-10, he will be joining the panel in Miami at the 52nd annual Baker Gordon Educational Symposium, which highlights technical advancements made in the cosmetic surgery industry. Following this Symposium, Dr. Rohrich will be traveling to Dallas for his next two events.
The 21st Annual Global Dallas Cosmetic Surgery and Medicine Meeting and the 35th annual Dallas Rhinoplasty Meeting will take place on February 28 – March 1 and March 2 – 3, 2018, respectively. At both events Dr. Rohrich will serve as chair and lead organizer. With professional experience spanning decades, Rohrich has succeeded in various avenues, leading him to become a staple in cosmetic surgery innovation and evolution. With certifications by the Board of Plastic Surgery, he obtained multiple degrees from North Dakota State University.
Dr. Rohrich has been with the Plastic Surgeon department at UT Southwestern since 1986, and has conducted various clinical trials all over the country. He has served as the president of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, which is distinguished as the largest association of Board-Certified plastic surgeons worldwide.
Dr. Rohrich is responsible for the publishing of over 600 peer-review articles and five textbooks, making him a consistent leader in education on plastic surgery. His efforts in civic leadership has been immaculate, as he has served on the Board of Directors of the March of Dimes and Save The Children-Dallas. He has also been known for organizing a mobile health unit that participated in immunizations for underprivileged children in the East Dallas area. His leadership has been highlighted through his various awards, as he has been recognized as one of the Best Doctors in Dallas since 2000 and Best Doctors in America since 1996.
